M	MARIO MORETTI ZOOM MASTER on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per arrivare al Santuario DI Comonte ed ai vicini resti del Castello Rivola, si può parcheggiare nello spiazzo lungo Via Comonte di Seriate ai piedi della collina e poi compiere a piedi la facile e piacevole salita di Via Monte Campione, che raggiunge uno spiazzo sul retro del Santuario, con terrazzo rivolto a Sud sulla sottostante pianura. Più dura, ma di maggior soddisfazione, è anche una scaletta abbastanza ripida che sale da un prato accanto a Via Luigia Corti ed arriva quasi alla fine di Via Monte Campione. Il luogo sopraelevato sulla pianura, lascia estendere lo sguardo verso la pianura a Sud, verso Seriate e Bergamo con Città Alta ad Ovest, verso le colline delle Prealpi Orobiche a Nord e verso il Monte Tomenone ad Est. La Chiesetta del Santuario ha una bella facciata rivolta ad Ovest, che si può ammirare parzialmente tra la vegetazione dal basso o durante la salita lungo Via Monte Campione. Quando il Custode lo consente si può fare accesso al recinto del Santuario, come ha fatto gentilmente con me, per godersi la vista completa della facciata. Uno stupendo tramonto tra gli alberi del sagrato ed il sorgere della luna dietro il Santuario hanno completato la visita. Grazioso è anche l’interno della Chiesetta, a navata unica con grande cappella laterale. Pregevole è il coro ligneo dietro l’altare. Spesso la Chiesetta viene utilizzata per la celebrazione di matrimoni. To get to the Sanctuary of Comonte and the nearby ruins of Castello Rivola, you can park in the open space along Via Comonte di Seriate at the foot of the hill and then walk the easy and pleasant ascent of Via Monte Campione, which reaches a clearing at the back of the Sanctuary, with terrace facing South on the plain below. Harder, but more satisfying, it is also a rather steep ladder that rises from a meadow next to Via Luigia Corti and almost reaches the end of Via Monte Campione. The elevated place on the plain, let the gaze extend towards the plain to the South, towards Seriate and Bergamo with Città Alta to the West, towards the hills of the Orobic Prealps to the North and towards Mount Tomenone to the East. A beautiful sunset in the churchyard trees and the moonrise behind the Sanctuary completed the visit. The interior of the church is also graceful, with a single nave and a large side chapel. Valuable is the wooden choir behind the altar. Often the church is used for the celebration of weddings.
