Fu eretta tra il 1751 e il 1757 in un luogo più sicuro rispetto alla precedente cappella quattrocentesca. La facciata a due spioventi è preceduta da una breve scalinata. L'interno a navata unica, si conclude in un presbiterio poligonale sul quale si innalza una cupola affrescata
The church, dedicated to the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, stands at the center of the small village of Carciato. It was built between 1751 and 1757 in a safer place than the previous fifteenth-century chapel. The gabled façade is preceded by a short staircase.
