M	Marco Carretta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si chiama della Fontana, non solo perchè vicina a questa polla, ma più perchè nel mezzo del pavimento, poco oltre la porta principale, sotto la pietra rettangolare, alla profondità di 2 metri, trovavasi una prodigiosa piscina. Lo attesta l’attuale sotterraneo, lungo metri 4 circa, largo metri 3 circa, coperto da volto reale a sesto abbassato, con un vuoto di m. 1,20 circa, fornito di due canali scaricatori, l’uno nell’angolo e direzione di maestro, l’altro nell’angolo e direzione di libeccio, col fondo velato da melma screpolata per la mancanza d’acqua. Da principio esisteva un piccolo Oratorio dedicato alla SS. Vergine, e di recente fabbricato nel 1532 dagli uomini del comune col permesso del vescovo, come è detto nella Visita Pastorale.
