La sezione superiore così grezza e modesta, rimasta incompiuta, la sezione inferiore finemente arricchita di statue nelle piccole nicchie, pilastri tortili decorativi posti su alti piedistalli incorniciano il portale di ingresso. Le statua raffigurano due nicchie con statue di S. Benedetto da Norcia, a sinistra e Santa Scolastica, a destra, fondatori dell'Ordine dei Benedettini.
Magnificent, of such a particular beauty ... disarming. The upper section, so raw and modest, remained unfinished, the lower section finely embellished with statues in small niches, decorative twisted pillars placed on tall pedestals frame the entrance portal. The statue depicts two niches with statues of St. Benedict of Norcia, on the left and St. Scolastica, on the right, founders of the Order of the Benedictines.
