La piccola, antica e caratteristica chiesetta in Arabba è punto di riferimento e simbolo del luogo. Sfoggia il suo bel campanile e un piccolo e curato cimitero delimitato da muretto in pietra. Placed on a small shelf on the right side of the regional road 48 which descends from the Pordoi pass, it dominates the town. The small, ancient and characteristic church in Arabba is a landmark and symbol of the place. It sports its beautiful bell tower and a small and well-kept cemetery bordered by a stone wall.
M	Mario Bernes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa in stile gotico alpino fu costruita tra il 1660 ed il 1664 in sostituzione dell’antichissima chiesa che sorgeva in località Paluacia ad Arabba. Nel 1888 la chiesa fu investita da una valanga che dopo aver abbattuto una parte del bosco colpì la chiesa e provocò danni all’altare maggiore. Nel 1915, durante la II Guerra Mondiale la chiesa scampò miracolosamente al bombardamento di artiglieria italiana che distrusse invece tutto il paese. Oggi la chiesa merita sicuramente una visita sia per la particolarità della costruzione, perfettamente inserita tra le montagne di Arabba, che per vedere la bellezza degli interni. The Alpine Gothic church was built between 1660 and 1664 to replace the ancient church that stood in the locality of Paluacia in Arabba. In 1888 the church was hit by an avalanche which, after having demolished a part of the wood, hit the church and caused damage to the main altar. In 1915, during World War II, the church miraculously escaped the bombardment of Italian artillery which instead destroyed the whole town. Today the church is definitely worth a visit both for the particularity of the building, perfectly inserted in the mountains of Arabba, and to see the beauty of the interior.
