β β β β β Costruita nel 1576, il nome originario era Chiesa di S. Maria in Torricella ma Γ¨ anche denominata Chiesa dei Sacchi, poichΓ© il vescovo Burali la affidΓ² alla confraternita dei cappuccini laici che vestivano, appunto, una saio a forma di sacco. L'interno, a una sola navata a pianta rettangolare e con volta a botte, custodisce vari affreschi seicenteschi, opere d'arte non di grande pregio ma comunque degne di nota (in particolare quelli a trompe-l'Εil tornati di nuovo visibili grazie a un recente restauro). Interessante anche la canteria in legno dell'inizio del 1600, completo di organo a canne.
Built in 1576, the original name was the Church of S. Maria in Torricella but it is also called the Sacchi Church, since the bishop Burali entrusted it to the brotherhood of lay Capuchins who wore a sack-shaped habit. The interior, with a single nave with a rectangular plan and a barrel vault, houses various seventeenth-century frescoes, works of art that are not of great value but still worthy of note (in particular the trompe-l'Εil ones that have become visible again thanks to a recent restoration). Also interesting is the wooden canteria from the early 1600s, complete with pipe organ.
