★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E’ l’edificio emblema di San Ginesio. Si tratta di una chiesa edificata nel 1098 la cui facciata è suddivisa in due parti. La parte inferiore comprende il magnifico portale in travertino, con archi concentrici a tutto sesto. La parte superiore della facciata è una fine e armoniosa lavorazione in cotto suddivisa in cinque prospetti la cui visione è limitata dalla presenza di un imponente sistema di rinforzo e sostegno metallico per la messa in sicurezza della facciata dopo il terremoto del 2016. La chiesa è chiusa perché inagibile. Sul suo fianco si trova la torre civica e NON il campanile come è facile presupporre (il campanile è sul fianco del transetto della chiesa).
It is the emblematic building of San Ginesio. It is a church built in 1098 whose facade is divided into two parts. The lower part includes the magnificent travertine portal, with concentric round arches. The upper part of the façade is a fine and harmonious terracotta work divided into five elevations whose vision is limited by the presence of an imposing metal reinforcement and support system for securing the façade after the 2016 earthquake. The church is closed because it is unusable. On its side is the civic tower and NOT the bell tower as it is easy to assume (the bell tower is on the side of the church transept).

Un insolita visione, in un certo senso che rattrista ma anche che ci restituisce l'idea della salvaguardia del nostro patrimonio culturale e della resilienza della coraggiosa cittadinanza

Purtroppo l'abbiamo vista solo parzialmente anche dall'esterno in quanto puntellata a seguito del terremoto.
This church is located on the main square of the town.
Unfortunately we have only partially seen it from the outside as it is shored up following the earthquake.
