Giovanni Battista, iniziò ad essere edificata nel 1614 da D. Ottavio Supino, suo rettore e fu benedetta da P.Ottavio Beltrano nel 1622. La chiesa aveva il pavimento di calce ed era ad aula rettangolare, lunga 146 palmi e larga 45. In origine era costruita solo dall'attuale corpo centrale a fianco del quale vi era una costruzione più bassa divisa in tre parti, sulla terza parte nel 1687 furono posizionate due campane, una del 1618 e l'altra del 1673. Il 22 agosto 1694 fu consacrata dal Cardinale Orsini, divenuto papa col nome di Benedetto XIII. Nel XVIII secolo fu costruita la cappella a sinistra, detta della" Buona Morte" che era oratorio della confraternita della "Beata Vergine del Suffragio", consacrata il giorno 8 maggio 1710. DescrizioneAd aula rettangolare con abside a scarsella cupolato, la chiesa è coperta da volta a botte con lunette vetrate. Le pareti laterali sono scandite da una serie di archi a tutto sesto ciechi, che sorreggono l'architrave. Esternamente la chiesa conserva le caratteristiche seicentesche, quattro lesene poste su alti basamenti, sorreggono la trabeazione sulla quale, a coronamento della facciata, è posto il frontone triangolare, che racchiude il timpano con un piccolo oculo centrale. Nella parte inferiore la facciata è caratterizzata dal portale d'ingresso centrale in pietra, sormontato da una nicchia affrescata. Sul lato destro della chiesa si trova la cappella della "Buona Morte", mentre al lato sinistro il campanile diviso in tre ordini. Historical News 1614 - 1710 (entire building) The church of SS.
