Ora sono un lacustre ma quando torno qui da visitatore qualche emozione sopita si riaccende; oggi, per esempio, ho fatto una lunga passeggiata alla ricerca di quegli scorci ormai dimenticati ed il ritrovarli è stato piacevole...molto piacevole. Così come incontrare persone che non vedevo da moltissimi anni e scambiare con loro qualche parola. L' unico aspetto negativo che cercavo di comprimere era la consapevolezza del tempo che è passato e che cammina a braccetto con quello che resta. Ma anche queste considerazioni non hanno tolto l' allegria di fondo aumentata dagli addobbi natalizi come sempre raffinati. La fredda mattinata non favoriva il passeggio per quelle vie solitamente così animate su cui si affacciano le vetrine piene di merce e di buon gusto: non è mai mancata a Chiavenna quella sobria eleganza che la rende così attraente. The cold morning did not favor the walk through those usually so lively streets on which the windows full of goods and good taste overlook: Chiavenna never lacked that sober elegance that makes it so attractive.

Fin de la ligne de Trenord (réseau régional de Trenitalia qui desservi le Nord de l'Italie) qui connecte Milan via Colico, (Lac de Côme) où on doit changer de train, avec Chiavenna et la Valchiavenna. Il y a encore plusieurs vieilles batiments des chemins de fer du temps de nos grands parents. Le nouveau bâtiment compte parmi ces facilités un bar, des roulettes et très étrange une salle pour les fumeurs parmi nous fermé et pourvu d'un téléviseur. A la sortie pour prendre un des bus assez fréquents vers la Suisse ou la Valchiavenna on doit passer des colonnes modernes et colorés. Cozy and welcoming railway station. Mir wurden 2 Euro abgezockt, dafür dass ich trotzdem in einem Restaurant die Toilette aufsuchen musste. A quick comment about the toilets at the train station: be careful, the machine that collects the required money may have problems. I was ripped off 2 euros for having to go to the toilet in a restaurant anyway.

Oltre alla funzionale sala d'attesa, sono presenti in altri spazi della stazione, un bar con qualche tavolino esterno e un negozio di acconciature uomo donna. Puliti i bagni con porte automatiche dal costo per l'apertura di 50 centesimi. Nella piazza antistante ottimo il servizio bus terminal con mezzi in partenza anche per la vicina svizzera. Biglietteria quasi sempre chiusa, e manca un distributore automatico di biglietti. Piccolo bar adiacente dove é possibile bere qualcosa durante l'attesa. Nota dolente i treni: Vagoni molto vecchi. Fermano li accanto diversi autobus, sotto apposite pensiline. Well maintained station (externally and internally). Small square in front of the station, beautiful to see and populated by many people. Several buses stop nearby, under special shelters.
