★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Settimana scorsa mi sono incontrata con il signor Maurizio, ci siamo accordati per vedere un appartamento, devo dire molto cordiale inizialmente e disponibile,dopo aver visionato l'appartamento gli ho detto che ero intenzionata ad affittarlo. Nel pomeriggio mi chiama per chiedermi che cognome avessi, e che origini aveva il mio compagno. Appena sente che siamo di origini tunisine, ( io sono nata in Italia, quindi a tutti gli effetti italiana e il mio compagno in regola con contratto a tempo indeterminato e ottimo stipendio ) ha cambiato tono della voce dicendomi " ah ma allora non credo possa andare bene, i proprietari vogliono solo italiani", dicendomi che mi avrebbe fatto sapere, e poi è sparito !! È una vergogna ancora oggi essere discriminati in questa maniera!
Last week I met with Mr. Maurizio, we agreed to see an apartment, I must say very friendly initially and available, after viewing the apartment I told him that I was willing to rent it. In the afternoon he calls me to ask me what surname I had, and what origins my partner had. As soon as he hears that we are of Tunisian origin, (I was born in Italy, therefore in all respects Italian and my partner in good standing with a permanent contract and excellent salary) he changed his tone of voice saying "ah but then I don't think he can go well, the owners only want Italians ", telling me he would let me know, and then he disappeared !! It is still a shame to be discriminated against in this way!
