Pochi ricordano la storia di questo giovane canottiere italiano, capovoga dell'Otto, che morì tragicamente in un incidente stradale, a soli 23 anni, a Melburne (Australia) nel 1956, durante i giochi olimpici estivi. Dopo anni di mal gestione amministrativa, abbandono degli impianti, incuria e vandalismo, oggi il Centro Sportivo sta rinascendo grazie all'impegno della Polisportiva Virtus Ariccia e del suo Presidente Marco Onorati. Apparently the memory of why the Sports Center is dedicated to Arrigo Menicocci has been lost. Few remember the story of this young Italian rower, head of the Otto, who died tragically in a road accident, at the age of 23, in Melburne (Australia) in 1956, during the summer Olympic games. After years of poor administrative management, abandonment of the facilities, neglect and vandalism, today the Sports Center is being reborn thanks to the commitment of the Polisportiva Virtus Ariccia and its President Marco Onorati.
