Mia madre si reca qui per comprare il mio regalo di compleanno. Acquista un portafoglio a 65 euro. Risulta che mi viene regalato un altro portafoglio quindi, con scontrino di cortesia alla mano (provvisto di qr code che scannerizzato da un effettivo scontrino di 65 euro) mi reco a cambiare il regalo.
Trovo in alternativa una borsa da 99 euro. Quando mi accingo a pagare la differenza, le due commesse (comunque molto gentili) inscenano un teatrino fatto di:"ma questo scontrino l'hai fatto tu o l'ho fatto io?" "chi è che sposta gli scontrini fatti e li butta?" "ah l'avrò fatto io" "quando è l'ultima volta che hai messo a posto il cassetto che non viene mai toccato?" per circa 5 minuti. Finchè non mi viene detto che a mia madre, al momento dell'acquisto è stato lasciato "il caffè" quindi al posto di dare la differenza di 34 euro ne avrei dovuti dare 35. Accetto.
Tornata a casa racconto la scena ai miei genitori. Risulta in effetti che si siano accaparrate un euro in più. Mia madre le chiama per far presente la questione e ottiene come risposta:"ah signora quando passa di qui saremo ben liete di pagarle pasta e caffè".
Io credo che nessuno sia figlio di 1 euro ma devo ammettere che è stata una vicenda piuttosto imbarazzante. Anche perchè se anche avessero offerto questo caffè, perchè richiederlo indietro se è stato offerto?

Alternatively, I find a 99 euro bag. When I am going to pay the difference, the two salespeople (still very kind) set up a theater made of: "but did you get this receipt or did I do it?" "Who is it that moves the receipts and throws them?" "ah I did it" "when was the last time you put the drawer in place that was never touched?" for about 5 minutes. Until I am told that my mother was left with "coffee" at the time of purchase, so instead of giving the difference of 34 euros I would have had to give 35. Agree.
Back home I tell the scene to my parents. In fact it turns out that they have grabbed an extra euro. My mother calls them to point out the question and gets as an answer: "ah madam when she passes here we will be happy to pay her for pasta and coffee".
I believe that nobody is a child of 1 euro but I must admit that it was a rather embarrassing affair. Also because even if they offered this coffee, why ask for it back if it was offered?
