However one very personal item of mine went missing from my room and was not found by the hotel management. The hotel insists that they trust their staff but we’re not able to explain why the item was removed from my room and by whom. It is important that future guests take extreme care with any valuable items they leave in rooms.

It offers suites ‘da una mille e una notte’, each one fully equipped, comfortable and tastefully designed and decorated. We also had a unique and unforgettable culinary experience, with fresh and local ingredients cooked in a superlative way. A real experience accompanied by the wonderful wine of the Castello sipped under a sky studded with stars. And the staff..really really lovely. Magnifico!

This is the kind of place that seems to only exist in movies or fairy tales, and yet here it is: a place frozen in time, offering an escape from the 21st century and taking you back centuries, surrounding us in what seemed to be an endless adventure of history, art, deep culture and romance. Our stay at Castillo Vicarelo was nothing short of a dream. Every corner was a work of art, from the lush Gardens to the careful skill with which the staff catered to us. It seems that they could anticipate every need we had, we never wanted anything more than to explore the grounds until we had discovered every beautiful corner. this place offers you the most beautiful escape from the world; I cannot wait to come back.
J	Julia Napolitano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castello di Vicarello is a very special place, and within five minutes of arriving, we extended our stay. The stay has the perfect balance of homey and personal while feeling completely doted upon. The service is impeccable, the staff is really fantastic. The grounds are beautiful, with olive groves and vineyards. You can relax by one of the two beautiful pools, and with so few guests, you are typically alone. Everything looks perfect at all times, not sure how the staff pulls it off! When you aren't eating or relaxing, you can go on a hike with the dog Uva, get a wonderful massage overlooking the olive groves, or do one of the many other activities offered. The food is very very good, and we are critical about food! The homemade bread is the best bread we had in all of Italy. For breakfast there is an array of homemade items - yogurt, granola, breads, cakes, jams, fruit, eggs. For lunch, there is a consistent menu of antipasti, salads, and pastas. For dinner, there is a rotating fixed price menu at 2, 3, or 4 courses with option of antipasto, homemade pasta, entree, and dessert. We have never loved a place like this, and we were truly able to relax fully here. While the nightly rate is not inexpensive, for the experience you are getting, it is way more than worth the splurge. Considering everything, I would expect the rate to be twice as high if not more! We cannot sing higher praises of our stay at Castello do Vicarello. Thank you!!!
b	brian bordainick on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the more all-around well done properties I have ever stayed at. The staff is the perfect blend of taking care of what you need, but giving you space. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it is a great space to just relax and spend the day. The hotel is a bit out of the way in terms of the other towns and villages, but this was what we were looking for. We spent most of the days away from the property exploring and coming back from dinner. Would highly recommend renting a car and the drive from Rome was very easy. I can't say enough great things about the staff on the property . . . They were really incredible and the place is like living in a fairy tale. We will 100% be back again.
