A volte anche il degrado e l'abbandono possono avere aspetti positivi come, in questo caso, il silenzio e la solitudine della visita. Dalla litoranea, dopo aver percorso un paio di km su strada sterrata (tenere a SX), appare il castello. Si parcheggia davanti. Salendo la scalinata esterna ci si sente come bambini in un luogo sconosciuto e misterioso. Bella veduta sul mare dalle finestre al primo piano in un contesto non privo di pericoli (fare attenzione). Nell'aria il profumo degli alberi di eucalipto. Non a caso qui sono state girate alcune scene del film "Padre Nostro " con Favino protagonista. The scent of eucalyptus trees in the air. It is no coincidence that some scenes of the film "Our Father" with Favino as protagonist were shot here.

A little bit difficult to reach the castle cause the bad condition of the road. On the top there a special view on the Jonian Sea. Like a lot of places in the south Italy is abandoned. Just near the castle there is a beautiful watchtower. I recommend to visit it.
