M	Mari Ube on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tre stelle perché andrebbe maggiormente valorizzato poiché rappresenta una memoria millenaria (IX-X secolo ma riedificato nel XIII secolo nella forma giunta a noi). È un castello-ricetto (dove la popolazione abitava e tutt'ora è così) come diversi altri nella zona gardesana. Sorge su un'altura chiamata Monte Fluno. Diverse zone e passaggi non sono praticabili perché proprietà privata (giustamente), quindi la maniera meno disturbante è passare dal sentiero più in basso e seguire il percorso della cinta muraria con torri scudate. In tal modo si può vedere l'architettura della struttura. Purtroppo le mura sono, da questo lato, invase da vegetazione. I merli sono guelfi. Il percorso è ad anello e consente di vedere tutti i lati da diverse prospettive. Una torre cilindrica è stata trasformata in una torre campanaria, davvero originale! Entrando nel borgo fortificato dal mastio si possono apprezzare diversi scorci interessanti. Da non perdere i resti dell'antica chiesa parrocchiale di S. Lorenzo, che si trovano rinchiusi in una struttura di vetro e metallo. Non era aperta e solo avvicinandosi si può vedere che si tratta della parte absidale, con una fascia affrescata in basso e il Cristo Pantocratore nella calotta (affreschi del XIV secolo). Di fronte alla struttura doveva esserci tutta la navata e oggi invece c'è un prato, perimetrato da pareti non originali. It is a castle-shelter (where the population lived and still is) like several others in the Garda area. It stands on a hill called Monte Fluno. Several areas and passages are not practicable because they are privately owned (rightly so), so the least disturbing way is to go from the lowest path and follow the path of the walls with shielded towers. In this way you can see the architecture of the structure. Unfortunately the walls are, on this side, invaded by vegetation. The blackbirds are Guelphs. The route is a circular one and allows you to see all sides from different perspectives. A cylindrical tower has been transformed into a bell tower, truly original! Entering the fortified village from the keep you can appreciate several interesting views. Do not miss the remains of the ancient parish church of S. Lorenzo, which are enclosed in a glass and metal structure. It was not open and only by approaching it can you see that it is the apsidal part, with a frescoed band at the bottom and the Christ Pantocrator in the cap (14th century frescoes). In front of the structure there must have been the entire nave and today there is a lawn, surrounded by non-original walls.
