★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed for 3 nights at Castello di Monterado while travelling through Italy by train. The castle is set in beautiful countryside, and the views from its windows and garden are superb. The rooms are exquisitely decorated and furnished with tasteful antique charm, yet the mod cons one expects were there too. Kira and Orlando who run the place are helpful and welcoming, and both speak excellent English. All in all it was a delightful place to stay, and we look forward to returning there at some point in the not too distant future.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding celebrations and nuptials at the Castle over a period of one week.
My family are originally from the surrounding area, although I was born in London. Therefore, it was key for me to find a beautiful venue that could accommodate both English and Italian guests. This venue did just that.
The venue itself is magical and steeped in history. Located in what I deem to be one of the most beautiful parts of Italy (but importantly, without the hordes of tourists that you find in other areas of Italy). The opulent rooms are beautiful, many with original frescoes. Worthy of a 5-star hotel.
The owners, Orlando and Kira, are exceptional hosts. They assisted us in the organisation of the wedding and were very attentive to any needs that we had, either in the lead up to or during our wedding.
All of our guests would return without hesitation, which is approval enough for any venue/hotel.
We will return!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sublime. They have traditional hotel rooms inside the castle or apartments just outside the gate. Very small town and quiet with great views. Beaches are very close by, Senegalia, etc. Rooms are clean, service is great (very friendly), and they have a nice outdoor pool area for summer. Breakfast served on the terrace or in one of the rooms of the castle. A true little treasure and great stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This spot is absolutely genuine. We found it by accident when we were trespassing the area. We were amazed from the fist moment. People who work there, property, food, services, attitude - all perfect. Hope we will come back again.

The beautiful pool and garden area, the breathtaking view from the breakfast balcony, the classy interieurs and the lovely hosts - all just perfect. Thank you for the great time! We will definitely recommend and come again.

Amazing Castle, well kept and up to date!
We had a beautiful breakfast with view on the hills & the sea.
The room had the most beautiful bath and the beds were very large.
The owners and the staff are so helpful and friendly.
Every detail was perfect and even with the covid-restrictions everything felt relaxed and very safe. They clean everything multiple times after use to guarantee your safety!
They also have some restaurants they recommend and they were all so good! We would not have found these restaurants without their recommendation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly a magical place. Initially we were put off that the price was too low and thought it must be too good to be true. We were totally wrong. Incredible value. We felt like kings and queens. The palazzo has been beautifully restored and sits on the top of a hill commanding views of the incredible surrounding countryside and even to the coast. This aspect can be seen from the beautiful breakfast terrace. Gracious family host, and stunning accommodation. We wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly return.
