★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten nicht das Glück auf dem Schloss zu übernachten, sondern haben in der Enoteca "nur" Wein und Öl gekauft. Marta war sehr freundlich und hat uns fachkompetent beraten. Heute haben wir nach unserer Rückkehr nach Deutschland die erste Flasche getrunken und sie hat auch hier wunderbar geschmeckt. Ein traumhafter Ort mit traumhaften Produkten - ein Muss für den Umbrien-Liebhaber!
 We weren't lucky enough to spend the night at the castle, but "only" bought wine and oil in the enoteca. Marta was very friendly and gave us expert advice. Today we drank the first bottle after our return to Germany and it tasted wonderful here too. A wonderful place with wonderful products - a must for the Umbria lover!

Views are unique to both the Alps and the Apennines. The hosts cozy and hardworking. And then they even speak Danish!

Lovely surroundings and great views. Super hosts. Large apartment which is top renovated in the old olive mill. Can definitely be recommended for small and large families ❤️?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed a week at Castello di Montegiove with our two children and it was wonderful. We flew to Rome and rented a car at the airport. The drive to Montegabbione is fairly quick and easy. This area of Umbria is very authentic and beautiful, so we spent the week exploring the towns in the area and hanging by the pool at the castle. Oh, and drinking lots of the local wine :-) Lorenzo and Rikke are wonderful hosts and we cannot recommend Castello di Montegiove enough. Tips for excursions: La Scarzuola is incredible and strange at the same time. For excellent food, try Gattogiallo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was working for the vintage season at Castello di Montegiove. This place is amazing, and the view from the hill changes each morning. The castle worths definitely the visit, the wines are excellent and Lorenzo and Rikke are one the kindest people I ever met. Honnestly, I highly recommand for a day-visit, or for a longer stay in their beautiful agriturismo !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a return visit, and is still top of our list of places we'd love to visit again. Beautiful accommodation, peaceful location and extremely welcoming hosts. Plenty to do and see in the vicinity, or just crash out by the infinity pool and enjoy the totally unspoilt views .... amazing. Get a cheap flight, hire a cheap car and enjoy, you'll not regret it.
