★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Butera e un paesino davvero carino,piacevole x una bella passeggiata serale e un buon panino mangiato nella sua piazza Dante. Consigliato un maglioncino anche in piena estate,l arietta e piacevolissima dopo una giornata di mare.
Butera is a really nice village, pleasant for a nice evening walk and a good sandwich eaten in its Piazza Dante. A sweater is recommended even in the height of summer, the breeze is very pleasant after a day at the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Del castello in se resta poco, solo uno dei 4 torrioni principali, ma la vista su tutto il golfo di Gela (così come la strada per arrivarci) è assolutamente vertiginosa!
Critica all'amministrazione comunale, che come sempre denota grande furbizia, visto che tiene il museo archeologico aperto solo con orari d'ufficio. Così, quando siamo andati di finesettimana, noi e altri turisti arrivati separatamente siamo rimasti a guardare una porta chiusa...
Little remains of the castle itself, only one of the 4 main towers, but the view over the entire Gulf of Gela (as well as the road to get there) is absolutely dizzying!
Criticism of the municipal administration, which as always denotes great cunning, since it keeps the archaeological museum open only during office hours. So when we went at the weekend, we and other tourists who arrived separately stood looking at a closed door ...

Nice place, a quiet and picturesque town, inside the castle tower there is a museum that can be accessed for free.
