È un pezzo della nostra vita, della nostra quotidianità, ma sappiamo anche che ormai da anni è praticamente inaccessibile! Incuria e problematiche burocratiche hanno di fatto impedito alla comunità di beneficiarne a pieno. Per fortuna ormai da un paio di anni il Castello è stato espropriato dal Comune, e in sporadiche occasioni (Pasquetta, 1 Maggio) grazie ad associazione di volontariato locali e alla Pro Loco, è di nuovo possibile avvicinarsi al perimetro del Castello (l'interno è di fatto pericolante e per tanto inaccessibile). Spero in un pieno recupero che consenta di apprezzarne anche gli interni! Per chi volesse organizzare una gita consiglio vivamente di chiamare la Pro Loco di Airola per verificare se ci sono in programma escursioni verso il Castello. Who is from Airola knows what the "Castle" means to us. It is a piece of our life, of our daily lives, but we also know that for years it has been practically inaccessible! Carelessness and bureaucratic problems have effectively prevented the community from fully benefiting from it. Fortunately for a couple of years now the Castle has been expropriated by the Municipality, and on occasional occasions (Easter Monday, 1st May) thanks to the local voluntary association and the Pro Loco, it is again possible to approach the perimeter of the Castle (the interior it is in fact dangerous and therefore inaccessible). I hope for a full recovery that will also allow you to appreciate the interior! For those wishing to organize a trip I highly recommend calling Airola's Pro Loco to check if there are any excursions to the Castle scheduled.
