★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poco è rimasto dell'originale insediamento abitativo che poi si trasformò in castello sorto per difendersi dalle incursioni barbariche. Sicuramente la salita alla rupe viene ripagata dalla bella veduta panoramica sul paese di Pennabilli e sulle vallate circostanti.
Little remains of the original residential settlement which then turned into a castle built to defend itself against barbarian incursions. Surely the climb to the cliff is rewarded by the beautiful panoramic view over the town of Pennabilli and the surrounding valleys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ruderi del castello di per sé non hanno alcun valore, ma gli scorci, la panoramica su Pennabilli, sull'alta Valmarecchia, la Carpegna e gli appennini del casentino da questo punto di osservazione meritano davvero la breve ascesa.
Capitando poi in un giorno di luce straordinaria dopo una nevicata altrettanto splendida, tutto assume un aurea di pura bellezza.
The ruins of the castle in themselves have no value, but the views, the panoramic view of Pennabilli, the upper Valmarecchia, the Carpegna and the Apennines of the Casentino from this observation point really deserve the short ascent.
Happening then in an extraordinary day of light after an equally splendid snowfall, everything takes on an aura of pure beauty.

In fact, only a few ruins remain of the castle with an iron cross next to it ... The path to reach it is a bit steep, but the view is certainly worth the effort.
