★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Castello Belvedere si affaccia sulla riviera ionica e si trova nel territorio di Fiumedinisi; è raggiungibile tramite una strada sterrata che nell'ultimo tratto si immerge nei boschi, fino ad un sentiero percorribile solo a piedi. Il panorama visibile dal maniero inquadra sia la costa calabra, che le sottostanti spiagge di Ali e Sant'Alessio, dai ruderi è possibile vedere Monte Scuderi e l'Etna. Non vi sono visite guidate e la struttura è completamente abbandonata; alcuni restauri recenti, hanno conservato i muri perimetrali e salvaguardato l'accesso mozzafiato in pietra che attorniando le mura, arriva alla porta d'ingresso principale. Un sopralluogo è consigliato in stagioni estive a mezzodì. Un forte vento è sempre presente nell'area. La stagione consigliata per la visita è la primavera inoltrata: in estate è presente un certo pericolo incendi; Ottima meta per il trekking .
Belvedere Castle overlooks the Ionian Riviera and is located in the Fiumedinisi area; it can be reached via a dirt road which in the last stretch plunges into the woods, up to a path that can only be traveled on foot. The panorama visible from the manor frames both the Calabrian coast, and the underlying beaches of Ali and Sant'Alessio, from the ruins it is possible to see Monte Scuderi and Etna. There are no guided tours and the structure is completely abandoned; some recent restorations have preserved the perimeter walls and safeguarded the breathtaking stone access that surrounds the walls and reaches the main entrance door. An inspection is recommended in the summer seasons at noon. A strong wind is always present in the area. The recommended season for the visit is late spring: in summer there is a certain fire hazard; Excellent destination for trekking.

Bis zum Dorf mit dem Auto super zu erreichen. Die letzten Meter dann zu Fuß. Der Aufstieg lohnt sich, wenn auch etwas beschwerlich.
Idyllically located, the castle looms over the valley.
Easy to reach by car to the village. The last few meters then on foot. The climb is worth it, even if a bit arduous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Panorama fantastico,tragitto per raggiungere il castello ripido ma agevole.La delusione l'ho provata nel costatare lo stato di abbandono dei ruderi del castello Belvedere.Purtroppo la cultura ,la storia a certi politici non piace.
Fantastic panorama, steep but easy journey to reach the castle. I felt the disappointment in the state of neglect of the ruins of the Belvedere castle. Unfortunately, some politicians don't like culture and history.

An old man showed us the direction but after his farewell we probably took a wrong turn.
We managed to turn our car, parked and started walking. The scenery was great but all we encountered (goats, cow, plants and trees) no castle. Luckily we succeeded to get back to the car by means of my Polar sport watch as our mobile phone didn't catch any network connection. Returning to the valley and at the coast village Nizza di Sicilia we washed our sweaty bodies in the Ionic sea
