β β β β β The best place for a gorgeous view of Como Centre after Brunate. Medieval Tower used for surveillance. On the top you can see Switzerland, Milan, Varese and of course Como Centre and the lake. Must visit if you go to Como!

β β β β β Lovely views of Como. We walked up from Camerlata on a Wednesday morning and had the place to ourselves, with just a squirrel for company. We couldn't get into the tower because it only opens on certain days, but I think the view is better here than from Brunate (off the funicular).

β β β β β Check opening hours! Nice hiking path, there are at least to ways to get to the to so you can walk different one both ways. There's a nice small camping spot beneath. It's sad that the tower is open only 1 day per week (not the day I was there unfortunately). It would be also nice if they cut some of the bushes around the camping spot to allow taking a glimpse of world when castello is closed but I guess it's fine.

β β β β β The hike up is good for the views! But the castle is rarely open, so I wouldnβt get my hopes up! But as you can see, you do get a stunning view of Como and the lake from the top of the hill so if thatβs what you fancy, itβs well worth the walk.

β β β β β Its sad you cannot find opening Hours in the internet, So it was closed when we aerrived. Nice hike and view, but from the Tower must be much more better

β β β β β Although Castello Baradello was closed when we made our hike here, the rest of the journey was worth it.
Don't be disheartened if you find this closed, if you carry on your hike you'll come across an ancient settlement (pre-Roman), replica Roman farm house, and astonishing views from Monte Croce.
