★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il luogo è in se straordinario, ma è tenuto in uno stato di colpevole abbandono. Purtroppo è l'esempio negativo di come viene gestito e fruito un bene storico e culturale, di alto valore, in un ambito di generale e totale degrado (area archeologica adiacente). L'antica Calvi merita maggiore rispetto. Con grande dolore e rabbia ci tornerò, nella speranza di poter coglierne ogni minima e seppur flebile emozione.
 The place itself is extraordinary, but it is kept in a state of guilty neglect. Unfortunately it is the negative example of how a historical and cultural asset of high value is managed and enjoyed in an area of general and total decay (adjacent archaeological area). Ancient Calvi deserves more respect. With great pain and anger I will return, in the hope of being able to grasp every little and even faint emotion.

Very interesting site of a certain historical value. Too bad there is no caretaker and little cared for along the way to the castle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Struttura ben conservata, almeno per quanto riguarda l'impianto murario. Peccato che il fossato non è pulito regolarmente dalle erbacce, perché talvolta sembra un luogo degradato.
Well preserved structure, at least as regards the wall system. Too bad that the moat is not regularly cleaned of weeds, because it sometimes looks like a degraded place.

The Aragonese castle is beautiful and the entire medieval area of Calvi with the cathedral, customs and seminary is evocative. Unfortunately the castle cannot be visited
