Sono cresciuto tra poeti di ottava rima che cantavano la tragedia della Pia davanti ad un fiasco di vino ed una manciata di arachidi. Ricordi lontani ma sempre piacevoli. Dalla strada bianca si prende un viottolo che comincia a salire sul colle, inizialmente è praticabile ma piano piano i rovi lo stanno invadendo. L'incuria lo rende quasi impraticabile. La rocca è incustodita quindi anche pericolosa a causa della caduta di alcune pietre della stessa. Peccato, avrei voluto sapere di più su Pia de' Tolomei e contavo su qualche Punto Info e magari un ristoro! I hardly came to visit it. The site is not marked by any sign and is completely abandoned. From the dirt road you take a path that begins to climb the hill, initially it is practicable but slowly the brambles are invading it. Neglect makes it almost impractical. The fortress is unattended therefore also dangerous due to the fall of some stones of the same. Too bad, I wanted to know more about Pia de 'Tolomei and I was counting on some Info Points and maybe a refreshment!
