Da Cassina, in breve tempo, è possibile raggiungere località sciistiche come i Piani di Artavaggio prendendo la funivia a Moggio o salire ai Piani di Bobbio con la bidonvia in partenza da Barzio. Ottimo punto per effettuare anche escursioni estive in Valsassina. Mercato settimanale nella piccola piazza Ten. Teresio Olivelli. All'interno del paese si trova la Chiesa dedicata a San Giovanni Evangelista.
