Tutti gli ambienti sono stati oggetto di un sapiente restauro che ha riportato alla luce la sana atmosfera che si respirava secoli fa e che i nostri padri ci hanno trasmesso con amore e sapienza. In the heart of the historic center of Modica Alta a wonderful example of "widespread hospitality" in ancient dwellings. All the rooms have been the subject of a wise restoration that has brought to light the healthy atmosphere that was breathed centuries ago and that our fathers transmitted to us with love and wisdom.
g	giuseppe vinci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ pessima esperienza!!!(mai andata oltre gli accordi telefonici)mi piacerebbe sapere cosa vuol dire ospitalità per i proprietari.cek-in dopo le 17 e non oltre le 19(cosa assurda valutando una casa per vacanze...)sul sito Booking alla voce “informazioni importanti” c’è scritto che si dovrà versare l’intera somma all’arrivo. ARRIVO!!!! Io invece ho ricevuto telefonate ogni giorno perché non sono riuscito a fare il bonifico in banca!(possiedo solo la prepagata e avrei potuto versare l’intera somma più la cauzione direttamente su un altra prepagata...) Questo è stato un grosso problema che ha portato i proprietari ad essere sospettosi e molesti sulla mia persona. Credo vivamente che fare ospitality o affittare camere sia una cosa diversa,che mai dovrebbe gravare sulla serenità e libertà di arrivare mezz’ora dopo... Per non parlare che la colazione se la vuoi te la porti da casa o ti accontenti di una sciocchezza(ma questo ci sta è anche scritto...) Ad ogni modo avere delle camere suggestive non vi autorizza ad avere un comportamento superficiale,e a rovinare le vacanze della gente che se vuole mangiarsi un gelato o fare una passeggiata prima di venire da voi deve aspettarsi una vostra telefonata se tardate 20 minuti,del resto se uno fosse della zona nn affitterebbe una camera... bad experience !!! Unica pecca il caldo nel soppalco ed un condizionatore rumorosissimo Spectacular structure, it seems to go back in time, kind and wise staff who showed us both the structure and the places of interest in modica. The only flaw is the heat in the loft and a very noisy air conditioner
A	Arianna Ceccarelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un’esperienza traumatica. Il proprietario si è subito dimostrato indisponente nei nostri confronti alla richiesta di posticipare il check in di un’ora. Avevamo avuto un contrattempo e dovendo arrivare da Siracusa (un’ora e mezzo di macchina) alle 17.00 circa abbiamo informato l’host del ritardo, ma al nostro arrivo lui si è categoricamente rifiutato di darci la camera perché “si era sentito offeso”. A nulla è valso cercare di ragionarci e ci ha lasciato a piedi alle 9 di sera, dandoci come contentino una parte della quota già pagata da tempo. Una cosa vergognosa. A traumatic experience. The owner was immediately annoyed with us at the request to postpone check-in by an hour. We had had a mishap and having to arrive from Syracuse (an hour and a half by car) at about 5.00 pm we informed the host of the delay, but upon our arrival he categorically refused to give us the room because "he felt offended". It was useless to try to think about it and he left us on foot at 9 pm, giving us a part of the fee already paid for some time as a sop. A shameful thing.
J	Joshua Z (Josh Z) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous Stone grotto interiors, new fixtures in ancient building. Our unit Donna Nina has 2 person bathtub with waterfall fixture! And a shower for quick bathing. Plus a small fridge and hotplate. Stairs to bathtub are steep circular. To the small toilet/shower, ordinary short flight of stairs. There is a small cultural museum adjoining explaining some of the roots of language, settlement and conflict over the centuries between different groups. Located in the heart of old Modica, home of great ancient, medieval and baroque buildings, as well as modern sweetened chocolate adapted from unsweetened Aztec recipe, from centuries ago. Simona and her father Mario are so very welcoming. Mario says his family traces their roots right here in Modica to the pre-Christian era.
V	Vincent Daigger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le Case Degli Avi is a lovely collection of historic houses in the Old Town of Modica Alta, tastefully restored and converted into a truly unique hotel. Each room tells its own story, and the owners take pride in ensuring you enjoy your stay. I would recommend to anyone interested in staying in a piece of history. Thanks for making my stay a pleasant one!
