★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on Via Annunziata in the Chianalea section of Scilla, Casa Vela is one of the gems of Scilla's many B&Bs. The proprietors Francesco and Francesca are wonderful hosts. Francesca's family happen to own Criserà, an excellent local winery specializing in wines made from local varieties - perfect!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, after reading lovely reviews this was a disappointment. Service was SLOW. Only 2 people working, however , there were only about 7 tables. Food was average and the prices were quite high for what we got.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The wine was brilliant! I also think that most of the dishes are fine too. But the traditional lasagna was cold and tasteless. The manager apologized for it and offered sth in return.
I would have given less for the food but the way these guys were handling the situation was good enough for me to rate it 4/5.
