Excellent bakery. I was able to travel to Rome with their bread on board and, after a week, the house is still invaded by this excellent perfume. Stra recommended!

Questa panetteria (chiamata tra i Beneventani "Pesce di Zucchero") ha riunito generazioni di ragazzi con i propri prodotti, sia salati (panini, calzoni, pizze, focacce, rustici) che dolci (francesina e cornetti). Magari a prima vista non farà una bella impressione come struttura del locale, però poi vedrete quello che offrono e specialmente i prezzi, e vi ricrederete. Con 4 euro ti prendi un pezzo di pizza, un rustico, una francesina e una bibita, forse ho detto tutto e posso già concludere qui.
What can I say ... This bakery (called "Sugar Fish" among the Beneventans) has brought together generations of kids with their products, both savory (sandwiches, calzones, pizzas, focaccias, rustics) and sweets (broccoli and croissants). Maybe at first glance it will not make a good impression as the structure of the place, but then you will see what they offer and especially the prices, and you will change your mind. With 4 euros you get a piece of pizza, a rustic, a brogues and a drink, maybe I said everything and I can already finish here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando a Benevento si dice panificio, penso che sia di dovere pensare subito con amara dolcezza all'ormai famoso "Pesce di Zucchero". Calzoni e focacce hanno reso questo panificio il preferito tra i ragazzi di ogni età, per via del costo mantenuto e della qualità sempre straordinaria: si riconosce facilmente che il prodotto è fatto con amore. Sarei felice di vedere magari una vetrina sistemata meglio con magari anche qualcosa di nuovo periodicamente e limitatamente.
When it is called bakery in Benevento, I think it is a must to think immediately with bitter sweetness of the now famous "Sugar Fish". Calzoni and focaccia have made this bakery a favorite among kids of all ages, due to the cost maintained and the quality that is always extraordinary: it is easy to recognize that the product is made with love. I would be happy to see maybe a showcase arranged better with maybe even something new periodically and limitedly.
