Sostanzialmente costituiva una tappa fondamentale per chiunque fosse alla ricerca di roba elettronica di piccole dimensioni (in epoca precellulari era uno dei più forniti rivenditori di Digital Diary Casio), di supporti magnetici di ogni tipo (dalle audio cassette ai cd), batterie per cellulari, caricabatterie ed altre affascinantissime amenità! Un tempo la principale caratteristica del negozio era rappresentata dal fatto che tutti, ma proprio tutti, gli articoli in vendita erano esposti in una delle tre ampie vetrine con accanto, sempre, la chiara indicazione del prezzo. Il cliente non poteva entrare dentro al negozio, infatti la vendita avveniva sul marciapiede: il titolare, quando intuiva che uno dei tanti estasiati clienti decideva di procedere all'acquisto, apriva la porta, salutava con un gentile sorriso di circostanza, prendeva nota degli articoli richiesti, confermava l'importo totale, riceveva il contante e richiudeva a chiave l'uscio. Nel giro di mezzo minuto, con encomiabile professionalità riapriva la porta e consegnava gli articoli richiesti, lo scontrino ed il resto.... Altro che Amazon! Quella si che era efficienza! Mythical shop known in half of Sicily as "the Jew" since the 90s of the past millennium! Basically it was a fundamental step for anyone looking for small electronic stuff (in pre-cellular times it was one of the best-stocked dealers of Digital Diary Casio), of magnetic media of all kinds (from audio cassettes to CDs), batteries for mobile phones, chargers and other fascinating amenities! At one time the main feature of the shop was represented by the fact that all, absolutely all, the items for sale were displayed in one of the three large windows with a clear indication of the price next to it. The customer could not enter the shop, in fact the sale took place on the sidewalk: the owner, when he sensed that one of the many entranced customers decided to proceed with the purchase, opened the door, greeted with a kind smile of circumstance, took note of the items requested, he confirmed the total amount, received the cash and locked the door. Within half a minute, with commendable professionalism, he reopened the door and delivered the requested items, the receipt and the rest .... Other than Amazon! That was efficiency!
