★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soul è la parola chiave. Si perchè questo locale rispecchia a pieno la tradizione dei locali SOUL e del SOUL FOOD. Dagli hamburgher ai burritos, dalla friggitoria, alle costine di maiale TOP. C'è l'imbarazzo della scelta. Difficile non trovare qualcosa che sia di gradimento. Le salse fatte in casa sono poi il top. La Barbecue e una curiosa Maionese al basilico che potrebbe sembrare di poco conto ma rendono i piatti davvero particolari. Il piatto che suggerisco è il Carmelo Burger, probabilmente la cosa più phorno che troverete sul menu. Anche il reparto birre e i vini è ben fornito, davvero per qualsiasi gusto. In definitiva: TOP
Soul is the key word. Yes, because this place fully reflects the tradition of SOUL and SOUL FOOD places. From hamburgers to burritos, from fried food, to TOP pork ribs. There is plenty of choice. It's hard not to find something to please. The homemade sauces are the top. The Barbecue is a curious basil mayonnaise that might seem trivial but make the dishes really special. The dish I suggest is the Carmelo Burger, probably the most phorno thing you will find on the menu. The beer and wine department is also well stocked, for any taste. Ultimately: TOP

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una decina di giorni fa mi sono trovata a cenare in questo locale su cui avevo grandi aspettative. Faccio subito presente che le recensioni sono molto polarizzate sia su Google che su altre piattaforme (su TripAdvisor sono decisamente più numerose quelle negative).
Eravamo soli: servizio lento, cordiale ma lento. Panino con buns secchi, polpetta vecchia (nappata con tanto burro) - la chiedo tendenzialmente bleu mi arriva una suola vecchia, bacon cristallizzato. Il panino del mio partner meglio, ma niente per cui valga la pena tornare. Le patate gelide, mollicce e gelide.
Sinceramente proverò a tornare in primavera, sperando che il covid attenui la fatica dei ristoratori (che capisco). D'altra parte essendo del mestiere consiglio una revisione del menu più flessibile visto il periodo: meno proposte, più cura nella preparazione e nella valorizzazione degli ingredienti.
Io e il mio compagno siamo stati male (cosa che mi succede moooolto raramente).. dare una seconda chance dal nostro punto di vista è una scelta che altri non farebbero assolutamente.
Ribadisco comunque l'assoluta cordialità del personale, il menu vario e interessante, la bellezza del locale. Sperando in un'esperienza più piacevole la prossima volta.
About ten days ago I found myself having dinner in this place on which I had high expectations. I would like to point out immediately that the reviews are very polarized both on Google and on other platforms (on TripAdvisor the negative ones are much more numerous).
We were alone: slow, friendly but slow service. Sandwich with dry buns, old meatball (napped with lots of butter) - I ask for it basically blue I get an old sole, crystallized bacon. My partner's sandwich better, but nothing worth returning for. The icy, mushy, icy potatoes.
I will honestly try to return in the spring, hoping that the covid will ease the effort of the restaurateurs (which I understand). On the other hand, being in the trade, I recommend a more flexible revision of the menu given the period: fewer proposals, more care in the preparation and enhancement of the ingredients.
My partner and I have been sick (which happens to me loooong very rarely) .. giving a second chance from our point of view is a choice that others would not make absolutely.
However, I reiterate the absolute friendliness of the staff, the varied and interesting menu, the beauty of the place. Hoping for a more enjoyable experience next time.
