Non a caso definita la "Cappella degli Scrovegni" del Cadore, questa, solo apparentemente, modesta chiesetta di montagna, ospita al suo interno un importante ciclo di affreschi trecenteschi, che raffigurano, in modo sublime, le storie di Sant'Orsola. Sorprendente lo stato di conservazione delle opere, sapientemente restaurate, che hanno mantenuto, inalterata nei secoli, la vividezza dei colori e delle dorature. Suggestivo il soffitto blu, che evoca la magia della notte, al centro del quale è raffigurata una Vergine con Bambino, attorniata dai simboli dei quattro Evangelisti. Assolutamente degno di nota anche l'altare ligneo, finemente intagliato, dipinto e dorato. All'interno della cappella, aperta al pubblico solo in determinati giorni e fasce orarie, è presente una guida che ne illustra, con dovizia di particolari, le vicende storiche e fornisce un'ottima lettura degli affreschi. Esperienza indimenticabile... dinnanzi a simili capolavori il tempo si ferma e gli occhi si illuminano di meraviglia. The small, but priceless, masterpiece that you really don't expect. The blue ceiling is striking, evoking the magic of the night, in the center of which a Virgin and Child is depicted, surrounded by the symbols of the four Evangelists. The wooden altar is also absolutely noteworthy, finely carved, painted and gilded. Inside the chapel, open to the public only on certain days and times, there is a guide that illustrates the historical events in great detail and provides an excellent reading of the frescoes. Unforgettable experience ... before such masterpieces, time stops and the eyes light up with wonder.

Se volete visitarla accertatevi che sia aperta al pubblico. Unico peccato: la mancanza di una pubblicazione dedicata alla sua storia ed ai suoi tesori artistici.
