★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La leggenda racconta che un pastore in questo luogo, secoli fa, trovò una statuetta della Madonna. La prese e se la portò a casa e la mise sopra al caminetto. Il giorno dopo si alzò per andare a lavorare nei campi, andò a salutare la statuetta ma non la trovò più. Tornò nel campo dove l'aveva trovata il giorno prima e vide che la Madonnina era nello stesso posto dove l'aveva trovata il giorno precrdente. Raccontò l'accaduto agli abitanti della sua borgata e tutti insieme decisero di costruire una cappella in quel posto dove la statuetta della Madonna voleva stare. E così la cappella della Madonna di Villa ancora oggi è lì in mezzo ai campi. Tutti gli anni ai primi di settembre si festeggia la festa della borgata di Villa con la passeggiata della banda musicale fino alla cappella dove viene celebrata la messa
Legend has it that a shepherd in this place centuries ago, he found a small statue of the Madonna. He took it and took it home and put it on the fireplace. The next day he got up to go to work in the fields, went to greet the statue but could not find it anymore. He returned to the camp where he had found her the day before and saw that the little Madonna was in the same place where he had found her on the day before. He told the incident to the inhabitants of his township and together they decided to build a chapel in that place where the statue of the Madonna wanted to stay. And so the chapel of the Madonna di Villa is still there in the fields today. Every year in early September the feast of the village of Villa is celebrated with the walk of the band to the chapel where Mass is celebrated
