★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Torrefazione New York ist eine relativ kleine u. feine alteingesessene Rösterei, exportiert auch nach Deutschland. Testsieger-Sorte 'Extra' mit 5% Blue Mountain-Bohnen ist kräftig, ausgewogen und ergibt eine sehr gute Crema.
Im kleinen Verwaltungsgebäude steht im 2. Stock eine wunderschöne Jugendstil-Espressomaschine. Wenn man nett danach fragt, darf man sie bestimmt ansehen.
Im benachbarten Ort Montecatini Terme befindet sich übrigens das frühere Stammhaus der TNY, heute die wirtschaftlich unabhängige Bar New York (die aber den TNY- Espresso serviert).
The Torrefazione New York is a relatively small u. fine, long-established roastery, also exports to Germany. Test winner variety 'Extra' with 5% Blue Mountain beans is strong, balanced and has a very good crema.
In the small administration building there is a beautiful Art Nouveau espresso machine on the 2nd floor. If you ask nicely about it, you can definitely look at it.
Incidentally, in the neighboring town of Montecatini Terme is the former headquarters of TNY, today the economically independent Bar New York (but which serves TNY espresso).
