★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is named Caffe, but in the evening the Caffe Desiderio is a real restaurant which offers awesome Italian food. Service is very friendly and the dishes are really delicious. It is located a bit outside of the city center up the hills, and some roads that lead to it are quite small. Take the larger ones to avoid unpleasant encounters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend anyone in Florence visit Caffe Desiderio. They have amazing food and do wine classes by appointment. My group was looking for somewhere to eat and the owner invited us in and gave us outstanding service even though they had already closed. The owner speaks great English and makes it a very easy and comfortable dining experience. Definitely visit Caffe Desiderio if you get a chance!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite restaurant in the whole world. I studied abroad when I was in college and went back years later with my wife. We were treated to unbelievable food and such an amazing experience. I recommend everyone take the #10 bus from Florence and come up for an amazing meal!
