Six travelers came upon this restaurant on a Saturday evening in Bari. We were from the US, Germany, and UK. No reservations and we were at the beginning of the evening for service. Walked in to warm greetings and great service, and best of all wonderful food and delicious wine. We were all fortunate to have found this local, non tourist, restaurant in the city. And we had a wonderful evening, the waiter even made our photo inside and outside of the restaurant!

Good food but expensive drinks, like a small bottle of Cola 3,5€ and small bottle of White beer 5,5€. They had the menu, but not a list for drinks.

Great place, warm welcoming people and tasty food. Surprisingly one of the best we have been in Italy in over 20 towns in terms of taste and welcoming spirit

We came across this place on the way back to our hotel. The service/owner was friendly and spoke English. The menu was strange. It had between 50/100 items, but only 5/10 items were actually available. I ordered the steak entrecôte, while my wife ordered a pasta dish. My wife was happy with her food. I was disappointed. I was not even asked how I’d like my steak cooked and then it was delivered well-done and didn’t taste very good. I was very unhappy considering the price. What we were most disappointed by was the pricing. Despite the waiter’s friendly nature and it not feeling like he was a person to take advantage, some of the pricing was ridiculous. 5 euros for a standard 0.4 beer. Most expensive I’ve paid by far for a beer in Bari. Entrecôte steak listed as 16 euros, but charged at 18. Pasta dishes at 7 and 8 euros, but this particular one charged at 12, despite it matching what was on the menu for the others. Plus the coperto was listed at 2.50 euros on the receipt, despite being 2 euros on the menu. We have had a nice time in Bari and I didn’t want to put a dampener on our trip by complaining and querying every little overcharge, but this made our experience very disappointing.

One of the few places we actually found open while waiting to board the ship back home. The staff was very friendly and helpful (unlike most of the people we encountered in our 2-week trip in Italy). The food was also very tasty and had a homemade feel to it.
