★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Costruito nel 1915 come struttura per ospitare i dirigibili, dal 1976 è sede del 5º Reggimento AVES "Rigel" dell'Aviazione dell'Esercito, composto dal 49° GrSq dotato degli A 129D Mangusta e dal 27° GrSq dotato di elicotteri NH 90A.
Da poco, presso il 5° Rigel sono stati dismessi i mitici "Huey", nomignolo dello AB 205 che per anni ha costituito l'ossatura dei reparti dell'ALE.
Built in 1915 as a structure to house airships, since 1976 it has been home to the 5th AVES "Rigel" Regiment of the Army Aviation, consisting of the 49th GrSq equipped with the A 129D Mangusta and the 27th GrSq equipped with NH 90A helicopters.
The legendary "Huey", the nickname of the AB 205 which for years formed the backbone of the ALE departments, was recently abandoned at the 5th Rigel.
