I proprietari, poi...non ne parliamo. Di contro hanno tutto, o quasi. Del resto a via dei Ginnasi, iperfamosa merceria romana, non sono da meno. Sempre supponenti, scortesi, insofferenti. Io vi consiglio la merceria a via Lampedusa, Montesacro: c'è una deliziosissima signora, sempre sorridente, sempre disponibile, che aiuta tutti, insegna punti nuovi, corregge errori e, last but not least, ha prezzi strepitosi! Yes, it is true, absolutely rude, almost bored by the customers: they always treat you as if you were asking for a favor and they were so magnanimous as to grant it to you. The owners, then ... we don't talk about it. By contrast they have everything, or almost everything. Besides, in via dei Ginnasi, hyperfamous Roman haberdashery, they are no different. Always opinionated, impolite, impatient. I recommend the haberdashery in via Lampedusa, Montesacro: there is a delightful lady, always smiling, always available, who helps everyone, teaches new points, corrects mistakes and, last but not least, has amazing prices!

Condivido pienamente l'opinione di chi ha detto che il personale è scortese. Sembra che ti stiano facendo un favore, davvero sgradevoli. It is certainly one of the most well-stocked haberdashery in Rome. You can find almost everything there, despite the fact that the shop consists of only two rooms. I fully share the opinion of those who have said that the staff are rude. They seem to be doing you a favor, really nasty.

So many reviews of yarn places weren't favourable at all, sadly, many citing lack of good customer service. Therefore, I decided not to even try and visit a yarn seller and wait until I got home again. While in Rome, my husband sought out this place for me, which was on the way to a shop that he wanted to visit. Well, sadly, this shop confirmed my worst fears. I walked in, and not one of the people who worked there even bothered to make eye-contact and smile and say hello! Get your act together, or you won't survive long in this world of Internet shopping. Did you realise that travellers who are creative and into knitting and crocheting as a hobby actually, purposefully seek out yarn shops while on holiday?? You could have made a sale. But not to me!
