Magnificent experience for professionalism and organization. I attended the intermediate course on Saturday afternoon and they can only recommend Bottega Immagine to those who want to refine their technique and their vision of photography. Well-articulated lessons with practical exercises both in the studio and outdoors. At the end of each lesson we were given a task to do during the week and then commented on the photos in the studio. More than satisfied, in fact I will also participate in the advanced course.

shame about the "secretary": Stefano, an incapable who does not even know the courses he organizes and is wrong to give you information; with what it costs is not conceivable. Too expensive for what it offers ... with half the money you can find better!

I have just finished an intermediate course at the image shop and I am thrilled with the results achieved. Nothing to do with other schools (attended by me) that promise a lot of smoke. The lessons took place once a week and this allowed me to have time to assimilate the notions and translate them into practice. The exercises to be performed at home are stimulating, the vision of the photos from always new ideas. The environment, besides being visibly cared for in detail, is youthful, stimulating and professional. Stefano, the teacher who held the course, is competent, clear, patient even in filling basic gaps. I believe that I will soon attend the advanced course and many others since the school offers a wide range of courses for every need.

I attended the "intermediate" course in 2018. Each lesson is structured in 2 parts: an initial in which the teacher explains some concepts on the topic of the lesson with slides and then a second part in which all participants (about 15) comment the photos taken by the participants themselves (the result of exercises assigned from time to time). The first part is handled very quickly and the slides are "smoky", without much substance and content. Instead, a lot of space is given to the second part, practically letting the participants do the work themselves, who often elaborate on explanations even on aspects not strictly related to photography. Keep in mind that during the course we have not been able to see everyone's photos, because the discussion really proceeds every time in an extremely slow and dispersed way, since the teacher does not proceed much with moderation and does not report the discussion on the topic. In this course the photographic technique is discussed only very superficially: the teachers of the school believe that the technique is illustrated in the "basic" course (which I personally did not attend, having already some experience in the field). It seems strange to me that all the photographic technique can be exhausted in a single and basic course. The "intermediate" course is therefore more focused on concepts of "image reading", and very little is learned about how to actually take a (decent) photo. Philosophical discourses are made on the very nature of photography and then little technical substance is given. For me this is a wrong setting for a course just higher than the basic course (starting from scratch). Among other things, this setting is absolutely not apparent from the description of the course on the site and this is serious. The teacher (Silvia) seemed competent to me, but just not willing to share her knowledge. The spaces and classrooms are very welcoming. However, there is little use of the infrastructure: the teacher does not, for example, take live photos in the classroom with display of the image on a large monitor and comments on how to manage exposure parameters and differences in results (as they do in other schools. and this is very useful). Basically it is a course (indeed perhaps a school) in which the work of transmitting knowledge is done by the participants themselves and therefore depends on the group in which one happens (with me there were some really good people and I learned more from them than from 'teacher). In the end I used the course as an index to a book: I did the lesson, saw the topic and then I studied it alone on the internet and especially on Youtube, where there are videos made very well and very illustrative. The course is useful if you are lazy like me and you want to have a framework of the various topics proposed by someone else. But then you have to do everything yourself. I believe (I hope) that in Milan there are other more valid alternatives.

I went to basic, intermediate and advanced with them ... I love them! For the competence, because they offer you a REAL photo course at a great price, because they also take you around: D I think I will also enroll in the portrait course!
