I stayed for a Sunday lunch with my partner and our dog. Well, they accept this very rare thing .. Speaking of the structure it is very characteristic with stones and rocks of various kinds. The room was heated with a wood-burning fireplace that kept you warm ... talking about the food, it was all really good with traditional recipes with organic products and Km 0 All accompanied by sweet cada and homemade liqueurs .. I ate very well .. While as regards the exterior it is also well-kept delimited by paths with wooden poles and surrounded by trees and flashes of green, there were also horses, donkeys, sheep ... in short, really suitable for everyone If you love nature and good food and you love taking your dog with you, this is the place you are looking for .. Renewal Congratulations to the owner and to all the family / staff Greetings Lorenzo

We chose this farm for the excellent reviews for the mid-August lunch. The reviews created high expectations but they were not met. The location is beautiful, characteristic and very rustic with a wooden table and two benches for 5 people. Good appetizer even if poor: 1 slice of capocollo, 1 slice of salami, 1 Ricottina, 1 slice of omelette and a slice of rustic pizza (or whatever it was) inedible, not fresh (I think it had a few days). The same goes for bread. As a first course there was a taste of lasagna and a taste of trofie (not homemade pasta) zucchini and speck. The second is a trio of grilled meat: a piece of luganega (long sausage) and a half thin slice of veal and pork each with a side of baked potatoes (I don't think they are daily too) and salad. My dog did well. What you see in the picture is the central salad tray for 5 people .... ridiculous. We closed with a portion of tiramisu which was a great refreshing as my portion was still ice cold. Probably it was the special day of August, even if they had to book and therefore they were well aware of how many people would be attending the lunch. I gave two stars for the location, but .... PS .: From what I saw it wasn't just my dog that did well.

Each time guests visit me in Pontelandolfo I make sure to bring them to Borgo Cerquelle. The hosts are remarkable people and I always fee like I have come home. Each of the countless courses we are served for lunch are freshly made - many with ingredients from their farm. The fare is locally sourced and absolutely delicious. Experience true artigianal cooking at a venue that goes back to the middle ages. It is an experience that is great for the whole family. Wander through the clearly marked herb garden. Ask them to take you to the barn so you can play with the animals. Sit on a hillside between courses and simply stare at the Sannio hills.

Staying at Borgo Cerquelle was life-changing for our family. A drive up a mountain road takes you to the most beautiful farm, with acres of fields, gardens and pastures. We are two veterinarians, and we enjoy staying at an agriturismo when we travel, with a bonus if there are animals (and there are aplenty here! Lots of well cared for critters). But what really makes this place special are Alverio and his family. They cooked us delicious, home grown meals. They made sure we were comfortable at every turn. And he befriended my 5 year old son, who wanted to experience every moment of farm life, and took him under his wing. Helping feed the animals, water the grapes, inspect the potatoes. I am so grateful that they welcomed us like friends. If you are in need of time in nature, you won’t find a better place. I wish we had added on an extra week!
