★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando ero piccolo per me e tutta la mia generazione era "il" Bongio. E il suo pezzo forte era la pizza rossa, sottile, e il leggendario calzone. Quando andavo alle medie con mille lire ti prendevi una sberla di pizza piegata a metà oppure la metà in calzone. Il profumo di quel banco all'angolo dello Stradone e Via Santa Franca lo conoscono tutti i ragazzi figli degli anni 80. Quando torni adesso nel minimarket che non è più solo gastronomia, trovi in mezzo ai salumi e ai tortelli ancora lui, il Bongio. Un pezzo di storia di Piacenza. Le botteghe che non devono mai finire.
When I was little for me and my whole generation was "the" Bongio. And his highlight was the thin red pizza and the legendary calzone. When I went to middle school with a thousand lire you would get a slap of pizza folded in half or half in calzone. All the children of the 80s know the scent of that counter on the corner of Stradone and Via Santa Franca. When you come back now to the minimarket that is no longer just gastronomy, you find Bongio in the middle of the cured meats and tortelli. A piece of Piacenza history. The shops that never end.
