This place was awesome. The hosts and server were extremely helpful and very professional. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and excellent. To too it off the prices were extremely fair. My favorite restaurant after my 1 week stay in Italy. Who would have thought the best food in Rome would be Indian.

To avoid. The owners were constantly on the phone on the table besides us. This was very loud and disturbing. The food was very mild. Not a lot of spices as I'm used to for Indian food

Our first Indian lunch in Rome- great choice! The food is excellent- especially the pistachio ice cream, better than any Italian gelato we have had! The rice is cooked with cinnamon, very aromatic. The naan bread is mind blowing. We thought we ordered too much but we finished everything! Buonissimo! ?

Rating is waste enough for this restaurant... I never suggest this restaurant, tasteless, nothing.. worthless and very less quantity. Even though I'm from India, I'm writing this review, because they don't know what biryani taste like. I have no words how to explain this worst ? food. They gave soya sauce?.. Named Bombay restaurant? ?...

I know what Indian food should taste and look like and this to me was absolutely not Indian. The restaurant looked a bit gloomy on the inside. The menu was a bit vague so we asked if the curry was served with rice. They told us it was the side dish. Without informing us they charged 3 euro extra for this! Also the price for the beer was not on the menu we later realised. The 3 sauces served with the samosa's tasted a bit weird, not fresh and the curry sauce looked like it was from a jar. Very small dishes, not enough. The staff was friendly but we also found them quite pushy. Overall a a very disappointing meal at 65 euro!! for two persons. They lost two clients that night.

Bombay is a good Indian restaurant and I liked the decor and overall ambiance of the place. The owner was very friendly and spoke good English as well as Italian. The food was good but I found the meal to be incredibly expensive and the portion sizes smaller than I would have expected. I was particular shocked by my €12 Lamb Vindaloo which did not include rice and comprised of only four small pieces of meat. (photos attached) The restaurant was very clean and tidy but the waiter/owner wasn't wearing his mask properly as he moved between tables taking orders and serving food. I found this a little worrying considering we were seated inside and still in the middle of a pandemic.

Honestly one of the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We had to ask three times to order!! We waited a ridiculous amount of time to even order. Waited again to be served.... Time spent waiting in total? 1h30. Yes, I timed it. The 'owner' (I suppose) didn't even offer an apology when he came to take our order. He shrugged it off and said 'it's busy tonight' when it's his responsibility to decline new customers if they can't serve them. We waited all this time for a bowl of rice, two small dishes, and naans. When it came to pay, we again had to wait because they apparently don't know how to wait tables and use their machines. They didn't ask to make sure we had the right order, just threw the card machine at us. This happened to all customers trying to pay that night... Waiting and waiting. There were at least two other tables like us tonight, arrived at the same time, waiiiiiiited, and finally being able to eat and leave. If it hadn't been already so late, I would have gone out and ate somewhere else. BTW they include a service fee that they never mention and you discover on your receipt! Oh and the owner didn't even make a gesture in the end. And hasn't apologized. When he seemed to get annoyed with his waiter (who tried to be kind to us in spite of everything), I decided that it was the last straw and said told him what I thought of that night. He clearly said 'oh sorry' like he didn't mean it so I left it at that. 100% wouldn't recommend. Food wasn't the best Indian restaurant I went too either so save your time and money. Again, it's the restaurant's responsibility to decline customers when it takes them 1h30 to serve them.

The restaurant offers good Indian food. However, there's a table charge that they failed to mention in the menu nor at the time we ordered. I thought potential customers should be alert of this piece of info. We enjoyed the food but the portion is very small for what they are charging, making it quite expensive..also considering we ordered only vegetarian dishes. We booked through the fork with discounts, without it the bill would have been ridiculous.
