★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw Rigoletto with 3 others. Singing & Orchestra was good but production poor and confusing. Seats terrible, we were in the back row in 4 different adjacent boxes. Not sure why as there were spare seats for us to at least be 2 couples. No view of the stage when seated so had to stand for the whole performance. This "restricted view" was not brought to our notice when we booked. Caveat emptor! Still, and despite all, we enjoyed our evening.

My wife and I were in a box with 3 local Italians from Bologna watching 'L'Italiana in Algeri' - Opera Next' staged in the Italian was sung in Italian. Very fine. A highlight of our trip.
At intermission, go up stairs and look out over the street below. Just as they have done for 250 years. You may, as I did feel, a connection to the place.
Facilities are in good shape.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You cannot view the theater or have a tour at this time because of Covid. This is not stated on the website. This information needs to be published somewhere so that people don’t waste their time walking down to see something that is not viewable. We wasted about an hour of our day. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful theatre. However: Outside the temperature was 5 degrees but inside 50. Celsius. And no airflow. Horrible. Especially in times of COVID. Rather shameful actually, as we are all being told to ventilate, ventilate, ventilate. It made it difficult to enjoy the performance.
