Posizionato in fondo alla valle dei ratti sul sentiero Walter Bonatti è un'ottimo punto di appoggio per le salite alle vette vicine o come sosta per il sentiro life o Walter Bonatti. Beautiful bivouac, 18 beds, gas stove, supplies and blankets. Located at the bottom of the valley of rats on the Walter Bonatti path, it is an excellent base for climbing up to the nearby peaks or as a stop for the sentiro life or Walter Bonatti.

Inaugurato nel 1995 costituisce certo in comodo punto d'appoggio per gli escursionisti (rari)che frequentano la val di Ratt che meriterebbe un lignaggio superiore!Ma se la facilità nel raggiungere gli agglomerati (Frasnedo)è sempre mancata,questo ha portato un vantaggio naturalistico non da poco. Noi abbiamo "caricato" (condotto le mucche)l'alpeggio appena sotto il bivacco e non abbiamo utilizzato la struttura ma solo visitata. La lunga salita con gli animali ci faceva apprezzare anche giacigli meno comodi.La vista da quassù è fenomenale e si estende fino al lago di Novate ed al lago di Como. Ma è il senso di pace e la solitudine dei luoghi che rendono questa vallata preziosa e da preservare. Rarely it has been able to observe a bivouac so well cared for. The 18posti bed are clean, gas and water available. Inaugurated in 1995 it certainly constitutes a convenient point of support for hikers (rare) who frequent the Val di Ratt that deserves a superior lineage! But if the ease in reaching the agglomerations (Frasnedo) has always been lacking, this has brought a naturalistic advantage not just. We have "loaded" (led the cows) the pasture just below the bivouac and we have not used the structure but only visited. The long climb with animals made us appreciate even less comfortable beds. The view from up here is phenomenal and extends to the Lake of Novate and Lake Como. But it is the sense of peace and the solitude of the places that make this valley precious and to be preserved.
F	Federico Rios on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La vista dal bivacco è spettacolare, e l'atmosfera rustica è molto suggestiva. Il bivacco è molto ben fornito, dispone di legna, vari strumenti per tagliarla, dispensa con cibo, bagno, letti, coperte, e fonte d'acqua nel raggio di 5m. Purtroppo quando siamo arrivati noi non funzionavano acqua ed elettricità. L'acqua l'abbiamo presa alla fonte senza problemi, e per l'elettricita semplicemente siamo stati al buio. Molto apprezzata la luce rossa che permette di trovare il bivacco di notte, che ci è servita perchè siamo arrivati un paio d'ore dopo il tramonto. A tal proposito, probabilmente a escursionisti più esperti è chiaro, ma andando in inverno con la neve alta e con zaini pesanti, le tempistiche indicate dalla segnaletica sono completamente falsate. Salendo il 28 Dicembre abbiamo impiegato 7 ore a salire, anche a causa della neve alta e del ghiaccio che abbiamo incontrato nella seconda metà del percorso. Anche con qualche problema logistico, la bellezza del posto e la relativa comodità del bivacco valgono decisamente la salita. Molto suggestive le albe e i tramonti, così come le stelle che si vedono benissimo dal muretto dietro al bivacco. The view from the bivouac is spectacular, and the rustic atmosphere is very suggestive. The bivouac is very well stocked, has wood, various tools to cut it, pantry with food, bathroom, beds, blankets, and a source of water within a radius of 5m. Unfortunately, when we arrived, water and electricity were not working. We got the water from the source without any problems, and for electricity we were simply in the dark. Very appreciated the red light that allows you to find the bivouac at night, which was useful because we arrived a couple of hours after sunset. In this regard, it is probably clear to more experienced hikers, but going in winter with deep snow and heavy backpacks, the times indicated by the signs are completely distorted. Climbing on December 28th it took us 7 hours to climb, also due to the deep snow and ice that we encountered in the second half of the route. Even with some logistical problems, the beauty of the place and the relative comfort of the bivouac are definitely worth the climb. The sunrises and sunsets are very suggestive, as are the stars that can be seen very well from the wall behind the bivouac.
