The Berio library despite being in the heart of the city has the particularity of having a small green space. Away from traffic noise, it is a great place to read and study in peace. Very stocked with books of all kinds. Oasis for readers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Francamente non so come le persone riescano a studiare. Le sedie sono scomodissime. Il poggiaschiena in legno è inclinato fisso all'indietro e il banco è bassissimo. Sei costretto a piegarti in avanti senza nessun appoggio per la schiena. Forse va bene per chi ha un pc, in fondo gli basta poco a guardare di fronte, ma chi deve leggere sul banco si gioca la schiena o il collo. Le sedie sono da conferenza, non da lettura. Ogni volta che ci vengo mi viene mal di schiena.
Frankly, I don't know how people manage to study. The chairs are very uncomfortable. The wooden backrest is fixedly inclined backwards and the bench is very low. You are forced to lean forward with no back support. Perhaps it is good for those who have a PC, after all it takes very little to look from the front, but those who have to read on the desk play their backs or their necks. The chairs are for conference, not for reading. Every time I go there I get back pain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La biblioteca più famosa di Genova. Sicuramente ottima una volta per studiare. Ora lo è sempre ma vanno seguite le norme COVID. Speriamo torni alla normalità.
The most famous library in Genoa. Definitely a great time to study. Now it always is but COVID rules must be followed. Let's hope it returns to normal.
