★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il BIBLIOBUS è stato istituito nel 1984 come servizio mobile di prestito librario, i libri sono collocati su un veicolo speciale dallo staff-bibliobus che arriva alle fermate predisposte, allestisce una piccola biblioteca di strada e quindi effettua il prestito.
Il BIBLIOBUS è in apparenza veramente coreografico per accentuare l'aspetto visivo e coinvolgere maggiormente il pubblico, che può avvicinarsi, sfogliare i libri, ripassare tranquillamente e richiedere se desidera l'aiuto o il consiglio del bibliotecario.
Il BIBLIOBUS offre inoltre una prospettiva essenziale per la riqualificazione dei quartieri sprovvisti di una biblioteca rionale, crea luoghi di incontro e di aggregazione.
A scaffale sono collocati circa 1500 libri che ad ogni fermata vengono in parte sostituiti con novità editoriali per ampliare l'offerta ed è inoltre possibile prenotare per la fermata successiva libri presenti nelle altre biblioteche rionali di Milano.
L'accesso al servizio di prestito è gratuito, l'utente sceglie i libri che desidera e li prende in prestito con le stesse modalità delle biblioteche rionali, la restituzione può avvenire presso le biblioteche rionali o alla fermata successiva del BIBLIOBUS cos' articolate:

 The BIBLIOBUS was established in 1984 as a mobile book loan service, the books are placed on a special vehicle by the staff-bibliobus that arrives at the prepared stops, sets up a small street library and then makes the loan.
The BIBLIOBUS is apparently truly choreographic to accentuate the visual aspect and to involve the public more, who can approach, browse through books, quietly revise and request if they want the help or advice of the librarian.
The BIBLIOBUS also offers an essential perspective for the redevelopment of the districts lacking a local library, creates places for meeting and gathering.
About 1500 books are placed on the shelf, which at each stop are partly replaced with editorial novelties to expand the offer and it is also possible to book books in other Milan local libraries for the next stop.
Access to the loan service is free, the user chooses the books he wants and borrows them in the same way as the local libraries, the restitution can take place in the local libraries or at the next stop of the BIBLIOBUS as follows:
