Partendo dal porto di Tremosine si sale attraverso la strada della Forra fino a Vesio per poi proseguire attraverso l’altopiano di Tremosine. Arroccata alla montagna e in certi tratti stretta tanto da consentire il passaggio di una sola macchina alla volta, ricca di curve, gallerie e gole nella roccia è una strada che va percorsa lentamente e a finestrini abbassati per respirare il fresco profumo del sottobosco e saprà regalarvi scenari in continuo mutamento e dal fascino antico. Passando sotto la roccia costeggiando il fiume Brasa potrete ammirare incantevoli formazioni rocciose naturali nelle quali l’uomo ha lasciato il segno posizionando una graziosa madonnina conosciuta dai locali come “la madunina” e meta di pellegrini che lasciano candele e fiori come atto di devozione. Proseguite poi per raggiungere i verdi altopiani di Tremosine. Hierdoor besteed je misschien wat meer aandacht op het verkeer en minder op de schoonheid van de kloof, de route en de fantastische panorama's. Dit jaar hadden we het "geluk" dat de route gesloten was vanwege herstellingswerken. Vanuit Pieve de Tremosine kon je nog een stukje inrijden tot aan Brasa. Vandaar kon je dan te voet de wereldbekende straat verkennen. Lekker rustig, geen verkeer, geen ronkende motoren én geen lastige tegenliggers. De indrukken zijn er absoluut niet minder om. Wij hebben er alvast van genoten en zullen deze unieke wandeling zeker koesteren! 3 years ago we did it a few times with the car. Always exciting and pay attention. This year we were "lucky" that the route was closed for repairs. From Pieve de Tremosine you could drive a little further until Brasa. From there you could explore the world-famous street on foot. Nel 1913 grazie al progetto di Arturo Cozzaglio, viene inaugurata la Via Benaco (SP38), meglio conosciuta come "La Strada della Forra", che parte dalla SS45bis, all'altezza dell'ex Porto di Tremosine (65 metri s.l.m.) e sale per 6 km, attraverso la Forra del Torrente Brasa, arrivando alla Frazione Pieve del comune di Tremosine sul Garda (420 metri s.l.m.). Lungo il suo percorso troviamo la Galleria Fava, i Ponti Camino e Felci, nonché due ottimi ristoranti. Bellissima strada da fare in moto e bici, un po' meno comoda in auto, a causa della sua ridotta larghezza.
