Parlando della razza, Gina, il bassotto che abbiamo adottato, da quasi un anno ci segue nella vita quotidiana, fatta di trasferte settimanali in auto e di attività nei cantieri edili, dimostrando adattamento ai nostri ritmi. Il fine settimana, arrivati a casa, in un piccolo paese di campagna, Gina può dar sfogo alla sua vitalità ed alla sua indole di cane da caccia correndo in giardino e nei campi. Gina socializza con tutte le persone che incontra e resta sempre equilibrata; dobbiamo dire, molto rispettosa nei confronti della nostra nipotina di 10 mesi dalla quale accetta ogni cosa. Abbiamo seguito i consigli degli allevatori in merito all'educazione; per quanto riguarda l'alimentazione ci affidiamo ancora alla loro scrupolosità. Al ritiro del cucciolo Erika ci ha spiegato tutto il dafarsi per gestirlo,ed anche in seguito ci ha dato supporto e spero anche in futuro se avrò qualche dubbio o problema.
