★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono finito in questo bar con la scusa di spedire qualche pacco all’angolo UPS. Mai incontro fu più fortuito. Adoro i tramezzini che si trovano in molti bar veneti, me una sorta di novità essendomi trasferito qui solo da pochi anni. Ne ho girati molti a Verona, Vicenza e Padova, nel mio pellegrinaggio per trovare quello più fresco, succoso e fantasioso. Buffo scoprire che la mia Mecca del tramezzino era nientemeno che dietro casa! Molto grandi, freschissimi, cicciosissimi di condimenti senza arrivare a essere stucchevoli.
Un’altra particolarità, a mio dire geniale nella sua tipicità, é il servire in particolari serate l’aperitivo con un piattino di tortellini in brodo o di bollito con pearà. Ho proprio mangiato quest’ultimo piatto, per me sempre gradito per la sua particolarità: saporitissimo. Idea semplice ma decisamente diversa dalle solite patatine o stuzzichini.
Le persone che mi hanno servito - sia al bar che all’angolo UPS - sono molto disponibili e gentili, anche disposte a scambiare due parole con un sorriso. Ci tornerò molte altre volte.
I ended up in this bar with the excuse of sending some packages to the UPS corner. Never was an encounter more fortuitous. I love the sandwiches that you can find in many Venetian bars, but a kind of novelty having only moved here a few years. I shot many in Verona, Vicenza and Padua, on my pilgrimage to find the freshest, juiciest and most imaginative one. Funny to find that my sandwich Mecca was none other than behind the house! Very large, very fresh, very chubby of toppings without becoming cloying.
Another peculiarity, in my opinion brilliant in its typicality, is serving an aperitif on particular evenings with a saucer of tortellini in broth or boiled meat with pearà. I really ate this last dish, which I always appreciate for its particularity: very tasty. Simple idea but definitely different from the usual chips or appetizers.
The people who served me - both at the bar and on the UPS corner - are very helpful and kind, even willing to exchange a few words with a smile. I will be back many more times.
