J	J. Foutrel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Très bonne surprise à Syracuse. Giovanni est un coiffeur très méticuleux qui prend le temps de faire les choses bien. Il propose un shampoing avant la coupe ET après la coupe et n'hésite pas à revenir donner quelques coups de ciseaux sur les rares imperfections sortant après le deuxième shampoing. Sa clientèle est locale et ça se comprend : 12€ la coupe avec un tel soucis du détail n'est pas monnaie courante. En tout cas ça ne l'est pas en France ! Prévoir de venir avec quelques mots clé d'italien car Giovanni parle très peu anglais, mais je dirai presque que c'est un gage de qualité ! Very nice surprise in Syracuse. Giovanni is a very meticulous hairdresser who takes the time to do things right. He proposes a shampoo before the cut AND after the cut and does not hesitate to return to give some scissors shots on the rare imperfections leaving after the second shampoo. Its customers are local and it is understandable: 12 € the cup with such concern for detail is not commonplace. In any case it is not in France! Expect to come with some key words of Italian because Giovanni speaks very little English, but I will almost say that it is a pledge of quality!

He does not speak much English but that didn’t stop him cracking some jokes and giving a great haircut...the locals helped translate conversation between all (thanks gents)! It was a very authentic experience and I highly recommend to any travellers looking for a real barber in Syracuse.

Not only did he give me a slamming haircut, but he was full of great recommendations for us to visit a nearby town and where to go for dinner. The prices are really reasonable and the skill is really high.

Giovanni's shop is modern and clean with Aircon making it pleasant to wait as he is very busy. He took very good care with cutting, was gentle but precise. He doesn't speak English but that was not a problem to have a fun with him while he did the cutting. Locals turn in for a chat and everybody is friendly. Cost for his service is 10EU which is about half the price we used to pay. I would definitely recommend Giovanni's shop if you are looking for a great haircut.
