★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just stopped here for a cappuccino. The owner started shouting at us (mid sip) that we had to wear a mask. He has clearly misread the rules, but how could you possibly think that you could drink a coffee and wear a mask simultaneously? He ran round the other tables to say the same. Queue is (and others) leaving our half drunk coffees with a confused look on our faces. The cappuccino was nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of my all time favourite places in Naples to have breakfast. The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing because of classical music always being played and the calm friendliness of the owners.
A little Italian will help with ordering because in my experience it's either that or hand signals but always in the most friendly and cheerful way. Someone will take you to the front of the shop and talk you through the options for pastries all of which are beautifully fresh and delicious. Final touches like a small drop of melted chocolate spread on your chocolate croissant done at the bar mean you never fail to feel cared for.
Prices are standard and very cheap. There is a cover charge of €1 if you sit at a table (€1 per table not per person) which is perfectly reasonable and I recommend you do.
Against one wall you will see a beautiful and brilliantly polished piano which is available to be played by customers providing your talent on the keys gives you the confidence to go for it. Mine doesn't but yours might!
The bar is always full of locals and there is a lively feeling about the place; local artists hang their work on the walls too. Around the corner is the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella and on your walk to the cafe you will often hear students practicing in rehearsal rooms overlooking the streets around this area which adds to its wonderful general atmosphere.
